Description:

This project is for bridge decking removal services on the Forest Service Trail River Bridge on the Seward Ranger Districts in Southcentral Alaska within the Kenai Peninsula Borough. Performance for this requirement includes cleaning all debris from the running surface and removal of wear surface running planks.

The Government will not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn, is responsible to the Government.

1. 1. Outline of Services: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, and other items necessary to provide the services outlined below and described in this Performance Work Statement (PWS).

1. 1. Project Location: The project work is located approximately mile 0.4 of Trail River Road, South of Moose Pass, Alaska, Mile post 24.2 of the Seward Highway.

1. 1. Background: The Trail River Bridge is approximately 140’3” long with a 22’1” clear width between curbs. This bridge provides access to the Forest Service Campground on the west side of Trail River. The current wear surface has been exposed to weather and traffic, and as a result has become deteriorated and in some locations, exposing the spike nails used as fasteners.
