Explanation:

Im Arbeitsbereich Immunologie des Laborverbundes (LAVE) ist das bestehende Gerät „CAPILLARYS 2 Flex Piercing“ (Cap2) End-Of-Life und muss ersetzt werden. Das Cap2 ist ein Kapillarelektrophorese-System (KE) auf dem die Analysen „Serumprotein-Elektrophorese“ (SPE), „Serumimmunotypisierung“ (ITYP) und „Hämoglobin-Elektrophorese“ (Hb-El) durchgeführt werden. Dieses System wurde am Standort GZ Favoriten als Stand-alone-Lösung in den Laborverbund integriert und ist seit 2014 im Einsatz. Das Cap2 ist mit 8 Kapillaren ausgestattet und kann somit 8 Patient*innen-Proben gleichzeitig abarbeiten.

Das Cap2, welches für mittlere bis hohe Patient*innen-Aufkommen ausgelegt ist, ist am Markt nicht mehr erhältlich. Als Ersatzsystem mit gleichem Analysespektrum und höherem Probendurchsatz ist das Gerät „CAPILLARYS 3 Tera“ (Tera) verfügbar. Im Vergleich zum jetzigen System handelt es sich beim Tera um ein System mit 12 Kapillaren, mit dem 12 Patientenproben gleichzeitig abgearbeitet werden können.

Innerhalb des aus medizinischer Sicht erforderlichen Anwendungsgebietes bietet derzeit kein anderer Hersteller ein Gerät mit vergleichbarem Probendurchsatz an.

Grundsätzlich werden mithilfe der Kapillarzonenelektrophorese Untersuchungen für Screening und Verlaufsbeurteilung von monoklonalen Gammopathien, Diagnose und Verlaufsbeurteilung von entzündlichen Erkrankungen, Eiweißverlustsyndromen (renal, gastrointestinal), Leberzirrhose, und Verdacht auf Antikörpermangelsyndrom durchgeführt.

Diese Analysen erfolgen täglich und sind für einen laufenden Spitalsbetrieb unentbehrlich.

Im Falle von Personalausfällen oder Gerätestillständen muss vom Elektrophorese Arbeitsplatz ein Probenaufkommen von 1-2 Tagen nachgearbeitet werden. Längere Stillstände in der Analytik können Therapie und Diagnose verzögern.

In solchen Fällen ist ein Gerät mit hohem Probendurchsatz entscheidend, damit das vermehrte Probenaufkommen abgearbeitet werden kann.

Ebenso ist in Hinblick auf eine Zunahme der Probenanzahl, die unter anderem durch die Errichtung einer Spezialambulanz mit Schwerpunkt in der Abklärung chronischer Eisenmangel-Anämien in Favoriten schlagend wird, ein Gerät für hohes Patient*innen-Aufkommen notwendig.

Da kein anderer Hersteller derzeit ein entsprechendes Gerät anbietet, ist das „CAPILLARYS 3 Tera“ von der Firma Sebia zu beschaffen.
