          Il lotto 5 è costituito da strumentazione di laboratorio che serve, in maniera generica, ad integrare reazioni fisiche e reazioni chimiche di molecole e/o macromolecole. Questi processi sono necessari a livello macroscopico per favorire la crescita cellulare procariotica e/o eucariotica affinché si possano ottenere sufficienti quantità di biomassa, le quali verranno trattate per recuperare le molecole di interesse di un determinato ambito di ricerca. In particolar modo, attraverso specifica strumentazione, tali molecole saranno purificate dai contaminanti e formulate con altri elementi chimici per garantire la loro stabilità e corretta conformazione chimico-fisica, che risulti biologicamente attiva.

Con tale strumentazione si applicano tecniche analitiche pratiche che servono per effettuare diversi tipi di titolazione attraverso l’uso di tecniche strumentali come la gascromatografia (per campioni in fase gassosa) e/o la cromatografia liquida ad alte prestazioni (i.e. HPLC) (per composti solubili in fase acquosa). Il principio su cui si basa è quello di stabilire una relazione matematica tra la quantità di sostanza presente e la caratteristica sperimentalmente sfruttata per determinare tale quantità.

          Il lotto 7 è costituito da apparecchiature che vengono poste fra la rete di alimentazione ed i dispositivi da proteggere, allo scopo di fornire energia alle apparecchiature anche in mancanza di energia elettrica. Più in dettaglio, tali apparecchiature serviranno ad assicurare la continuità energetica elettrica anche in assenza di tensione sia di lunga durata che di poche frazioni di secondo, per quelle utenze che non possono tollerare tali assenze di energia (personal computer, server ed in generale apparecchiature elettroniche). In questo lotto saranno comprese le apparecchiature basate su componenti elettroniche (batterie), gli UPS, in grado di assicurare autonomia solo per qualche decina di minuti o al massimo qualche ora; e quelle basate su componenti elettromeccaniche, i gruppi elettrogeni, in grado di assicurare l’energia elettrica in caso di lunghe interruzioni della tensione di rete, tipo distacchi ENEL e blackout.
