         Opleidings- en ontwikkelingsprogramma"s, cursussen en evenementen die door een organisatie worden ontwikkeld en georganiseerd om haar werknemers te helpen KSAO"s (knowledge, skills, abilities and others) te verwerven zien wij als formeel leren. Informeel leren kan opzettelijk of incidenteel zijn, maar is in tegenstelling tot formeel leren minder sterk gestructureerd en voornamelijk een gevolg van vrijwillig gedrag.
