Redevelopment of Newport City Campus - Phase 1

To undertake repurposing of three key areas within Newport Campus as part of the redevelopment of the campus.

Suppliers are advised to allow adequate time for uploading documents and to dispatch the electronic response well in advance of the closing time to avoid any last minute problems.

Phase 1 is split into 3 sections.

Ground floor Lecture theatre, A16 – works to convert a traditional front facing lecture theatre into a group learning lecture theatre. Works to be undertaken include new group seating and table, creation of platforms over existing racking. New floor finishes. Redecoration

including ceiling. Alterations to air handling and new sound absorbing

wall panels.

Kitchen preparation area, B Floor – removal of all industrial kitchen

equipment, servery and conversion into meeting rooms and a

commuter kitchen. Works include removal of all equipment and wall

coverings. Reline walls and decorate. New ceilings throughout.

Creation of stud and glass partitions. Alterations to air handling system. alterations to small power, lighting, network and fire detection systems.

Provision of fixed units in commuter kitchen. New flooring throughout.

Provision of moss walls. New structural window openings.

Staff work area, E Floor – removal of existing offices complete. Provision of glass partition and associated structural works. Door access system.

New flooring throughout. Redecoration throughout. Alterations to air

handling system. Alterations to small power, lighting, network and fire detection systems

Fulfill the requirements of the project in full;

Provide the information as requested in the quality assessment criteria. Robust and full answers must be provided;

Meet the critical programme deadline;

Hold the relevant level of insurances, as stipulated and provide evidence of;

Undertake a site visit;

Fully price up the tender as stipulated in the Schedule of rates.

Your tender submission must be uploaded to the Sell2Wales portal Postbox.

Your submission must be received by the closing time and date of midday, Friday 28th July 2023.
