Uppdraget omfattar utförande av personlig assistans, inklusive kommunalt basansvar, enligt SFB 51 kap. och assistans enligt 9 § punkt 2 LSS för barn, ungdomar och vuxna bosatta i Svedala respektive Staffanstorps kommuner och som valt kommunen som assistansanordnare. För Staffanstorps kommun omfattar Uppdraget även tjänsten ledsagarservice enligt 9 § punkt 3 LSS. Upphandlingen syftar till att genom konkurrensutsättning finna den mest lämpade utföraren av verksamheten.

Verksamheten ska drivas som en ren entreprenad. Respektive kommun erhåller ersättning från Försäkringskassan och ersätter entreprenören med motsvarande ersättning. Värdet av upphandlingen är beräknat baserat på nuvarande uppdrag i båda kommuner, men inga volymer garanteras.
