         El objeto de la licitación es la contratación de los servicios de contenerización, recogida y transporte de residuos urbanos y limpieza viaria y espacios de uso público en la ciudad de Ávila y sus barrios anexionados, tal y como son definidos en los pliegos de prescripciones técnicas, con el objetivo de garantizar las adecuadas condiciones de salubridad e higiene y de mejorar el bienestar de los vecinos y vecinas. Este servicio se ejecutará con métodos, prácticas y productos más respetuosos para el medio ambiente y la salud laboral e incluirá, entre otros, el uso de maquinaria ambientalmente sostenible. El servicio abarcará las prestaciones definidas en el pliego de prescripciones técnicas.

         El criterio para la acreditación de la solvencia económica y financiera será el volumen anual de negocios del licitador o candidato, que referido al año de mayor volumen de negocio de los tres últimos concluidos deberá ser al menos una vez y media el valor anual medio del contrato (11.229.545,46 €), según la cláusula 7.1 del Anexo Cuadro de Características del Contrato.
