Quotations are hereby invited for installation of LED strip lighting - Tramways Building (decking areas) as per specifications. Scope: Installation of waterproof LED strip lighting along specific decking areas at the Tramways Building. The purpose of these lights is to enhance visibility, safety and aesthetic appeal during night-time use, particularly along pedestrian pathways and staircases. Scope: • Installation – Wilderness Decking Area The service provider is required to: 1. Supply and install waterproof LED strip lighting on the wooden slats above the decking area in wilderness; 2. LED strips must: - Provide adequate illumination from the beginning of the deck up to the end of the staircase; - Be uniformly and neatly fixed, flush and aligned along the wooden slats; - Be yellow tone or 3000K - 4000K colour temperature; - Be outdoor-rated and suitable for exposure to moisture; 3. Install motion sensors positioned strategically to detect pedestrian movement along the deck at night, ensuring lights activate automatically; 4. Install a daylight switch (if applicable) to allow automatic control depending on outdoor light levels; 5. Ensure all cabling is concealed, weather-protected and compliant with safety standards; • Installation – Deck Adjacent to Main Boardroom: The service provider is required to: 1. Install the same LED strip lighting specification on this deck which is on the opposite side of the deck adjacent to the Main Boardroom; 2. The LED strip must extend: - Along the decking walkway; - Up to the staircase; - Around the corner and; - Continue up until the deck section opposite the Baakens River; 3. Motion sensors and daylight control must be installed and integrated in the same manner as the first section; 4. Ensure lighting consistency across both sections of the deck. Technical Requirements: • LED strip colour temperature: 3000K–4000K; • Waterproof rating: Minimum IP65 (preferably IP67/IP68); • Motion sensors suitable for outdoor use; • UV-resistant and weatherproof housing/casing; • Proper cable management and weather protection; • Power supply units must be concealed and protected; • Compliance with applicable electrical and safety standards.
