Clean and re-repaint it mark as it has been found; 4. Clean inside, remove any dust, rust check hot connections and repair if found; 5. Check earth connections and replace it if found broken or stolen; 6. The earth resistance must be recorded on the spread sheet; 7. The oil level must also be check on transformer and switch gear and must be filled in if required; 8. The plinth of the min sub must also be checked for any crakes; 9. 28-10-2025 Re-advertisement: Quotations are hereby invited for provision of overhead line maintenance: Nseleni as per specifications. Scope: The scope of work: 1. Replace all broken pin insulator; 2. Remove all PG clamp on the line and join it with none tension joint; 3. All rusted lugs on the isolators must be replace and hot connections repairs; 4. The fuse carrier on the 11kv side of the transformer must be replace if necessary; 5. Replace all jumpers on the transformers that rusted or showing sign of fatigue; 6. All mosedof on the LV side of the transformer must be replace; 7. The earthing of the transformer must be checked and the earthing resistance recorded; 8. Blown up surge arrester must be replace both LV and HT side of the transformer; 9. Line sagging must be corrected where necessary; 10. Loose connections on the LV side of the transformer must be corrected; 11. Replace 13m pole and the quantity is 20 poles trench must 2.2m deep; 12. Tension all stay wires where it is not possible strat pole must be planted to support the line; 13. All work that has been carried out must recorded photo before replacement and after; 14. Replace tension insulators where required; 15. On completion of work the area must be left tidy and clean. .
28-10-2025 Quotations are hereby invited to Repair MV cable at Hercules Sub. Scope: The scope of work is as follows: 1. Open the trench about 310m long; 2. The trench must 1.1m deep and 1m wide; 3. The route of the cable is running on the wet land area and the service provider must have water pump to pump out water when it is required; 4. Cut the PILC cable and pressure test the cable on both side to prove to be clean; 5. Once the cable found to clean proceed with making two joints and test the cable to be clean; 6. Make sure the phasing of the cable is not swapped; 7. Backfill the trench and the work must be clean and tidy; 8. The service provider will be required to use his / her transport to collect the material from stores; 9. The service provider must have done MV cable joints PILC and XLP cable. .
