Oslo University Hospital Trust intends to enter into an agreement with Triolab AS for ELISA kits for anti-GAD analysis.

The contract will be entered into after a procurement without a contest in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulation § 13-4 letter b, number 2. Oslo University Hospital Trust aims to sign the contract shortly in accordance with the deadline listed in the Public Procurement Regulations § 25-3 of ten days calculated from the day after the date of the notice. The contract period is 1 year. Option for 1+1 year extension.

The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason:
- absence of competition for technical reasons

Explanation:

The hormone laboratory needs approximately one year to collect sample materials to cover enough of the measurement area. This involves many professional assessments that have been made both medically and methodologically after extensive testing with comparable laboratory tests, so-called "reference tests", and ordinary patient samples. The ELISA kit from Triolab is currently one of the methods with the highest score in relation to the "reference tests".

The ELISA method involves antigen-antibody binding that can have different specificities, i.e. the same type of reagents from different manufacturers can have very different specificities. The testing process for finding the right reagents for the analysis is therefore very demanding.
