II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The equipment shall be a part of existing equipment at Helgeland Hospital HF and Nordland Hospital HF. It is therefore a prerequisite that the new scopes are compatible with the existing equipment in the different units, and the new racks must be compatible with the existing scopes. Equipment from different suppliers cannot be used together with the same processor and light source. If the available and necessary equipment is not compatible with each other, the efficiency and safety will be reduced. A lack of compatibility between equipment will increase the risk of failure in patient treatment and patient injuries can occur. Safe and secure patient care constitutes the core of the hospital"s overall responsibility. Patient safety prevents and limits patient injuries.

The procurement of gastric rack has a value of approx. NOK 5,800,000.

The contracting authority has assessed that there is only one tenderer that fulfils the requirements for compatibility with the existing equipment and form of operation with tracking of equipment. The procurement is therefore excepted from a competition, cf. the Public Procurement Regulations §13-4 letter b no. 2.

Sykehusinnkjøp HF will, on behalf of Helgelandssykehuset HF and Nordlandssykehuset HF enter into a contract with Olympus Norge AS for the Gastric screening programme.

The trust intends to sign a contract 10 days after this voluntary ex-ante transparency notice.
