         The following special microbiology equipment will be procured for the new Drammen Hospital:

         - Analyser Maldi Tof (analysis instrument for identifying microorganisms)

         - Zone reader (reading what medicines a microorganism is sensitive to and to what degree. The method is used for determining bacteria resistance.) 

         - System for thinning micro-stock (method used for determining bacteria resistance.) 

         - Anaerobe workstation bacteriology, cupboard (can detect bacteria that grow without access to O2).

         - Colour machine, Gram"s stain (machine that colours bacteria and that contributes to identifying different types of bacteria).

         - TB colour machine (machine that colours acid proof rods, used for diagnosing tuberculosis). 

         This is an invitation to a tender conference at the project office at Brakerøya, see the tender invitation (chapter 2.2).

         NOTE: Note that questions will not be answered in the period weeks 28-30 due to staff holidays.

         A Maldi Tof analyser will be procured for the new Drammen Hospital (analysis instrument for identifying microorganisms).

         Description of the wanted function:

         Analysis instrument for quick and exact identification of bacteria using Maldi Tof technology (Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization - Time of Flight). The equipment will be used for the identification of microorganisms (bacteria and fungi) via the microorganisms unique protein spectrums. The equipment must use updated taxonomy for microorganisms. The equipment, including all components, software, and databases (the system), must be able to identify a broad spectrum of microorganisms, including high-pathogenetic organisms.

         Bærum and Drammen Hospitals currently have Malti Tof as a backup, and it is important that this continues
