Het Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum (LUMC) is voornemens een opdracht voor de levering en ingebruikname van een OrganOx Metra NMP Liver ten behoeve van de afdeling Transplantatie Centrum te gunnen aan de onderneming OrganOx Limited gevestigd Robert Robinson Avenue, Oxford, Groot-Brittannië. Dit apparaat kan met behulp van machinale perfusie de preservatie van donorlevers verlengen tot 24 uur.

Explanation:

Het beoogde apparaat, de OrganOx Metra NMP Liver device, is momenteel het enige machine perfusie apparaat voor de lever dat voldoet aan de volgende criteria: het gevalideerd en veilig gedurende maximaal 24 uur toepassen van normotherme machinale perfusie van de lever waarbij de functie van de lever in deze periode objectief en in real-time kan worden beoordeeld en de kwaliteit van de lever aan het eind van de perfusieperiode tenminste gelijk is aan de kwaliteit voorafgaand aan de perfusieperiode.
