         In het kader van de Natura 2000-doelstellingen is het nodig om een uitspraak te kunnen doen over het behoud of de uitbreiding c.q. verbetering van oppervlakte en kwaliteit. Hiervoor is een vegetatiekartering nodig. In principe is het de bedoeling om een 12-jarige cyclus in de vegetatiekartering te hanteren.

         Het gevraagde werk is een vlakdekkende kartering van vegetatietypen in ongeveer 5250 ha duingebied in het Natura 2000-gebied Noord-Hollands Duinreservaat

         Het gebied is opgedeeld in een aantal deelgebieden, zoals weergegeven in de bovenstaande kaart. Het heeft onze sterke voorkeur dat de nu uitgevraagde kartering (veldwerk) in 3 jaar wordt uitgevoerd. Verder vragen we om de kartering van de overige deelgebieden in de tijd voor zover mogelijk in dezelfde volgorde te doen als in de periode 2006-2009 is gedaan (dat kan dus niet volledig hetzelfde in de totaal 3 jaar). Op deze manier is de tijd tussen de vorige en de eerstvolgende kartering steeds ongeveer even lang. Voor het Noord-Hollands Duinreservaat als geheel geldt dat de verhouding bos versus open duin ongeveer 34% is.
