         De Koos Meindertsschool, kinderopvang 2Bevers en peuterspeelzaal de Jonge Bevers zijn drie partners op weg naar één KindCentrum (KC). Dit betekent dat er een voorziening wordt gevormd waarin onderwijs en kinderopvang daadwerkelijk als één multidisciplinair team integraal samenwerken met de omgeving. Met één missie en visie op leren en op de ontwikkeling van kinderen.

         De nieuwbouw wordt gerealiseerd op de huidige locatie in een jaren 80 wijk. Het huidige gebouw is en 1-laags gebouw waarin oorspronkelijk 2 aparte scholen gehuisvest waren die een aantal jaren terug gefuseerd zijn tot 1 school.

         Het programma voor de nieuwbouw is groter dan het huidige gebouw. In het bestemmingsplan is een 1-laags gebouw omschreven, door de nieuwbouw in 2 lagen te ontwerpen ontstaat een compacter en duurzamer gebouw met meer buitenruimte. Zie voor meer informatie de selectieleidraad.
