The Irish Defence Forces require Collective Protection (COLPRO) systems to provide a contaminant free environment for personnel following or in the event of a CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Chemical and Radiological) incident. Such a system shall be designed to resist the penetration of any particle into the internal floor space of the COLPRO system which may endanger personnel operating in the system. The COLPRO system will be required to protect against these contaminants through the use of filtration and/or overpressure systems as a minimum.
