LMETB engaged in a competitive process on eTenders OJEU for the supply of a School Management Information System. The Management Information System should provide an array of features and solutions to ensure that schools effectively manage student data such as behaviour and achievement, assessment and attainment, attendance, households, contacts, class and groups, special education needs, document management, curriculum planning, timetabling, scheduling, TUSLA returns, September and October returns.

The system must also interface seamlessly with the Post-Primary Online Database (P-POD), the central database hosted by the Department of Education & Skills. For a period of 2 years with an option to extend for 2 years.

The DE has appointed the EPS to conduct a tender process for a School Management Information System on behalf of the Education Sector. In 2016 LMETB engaged in a procurement process to appoint a provider for a complete solution for a School Management Information System. The contract commenced on 01/06/2016 for an initial period of 2 years and was extended for a further to years until 30/05/2020. At that point the DE advised they were conducting a procurement process on behalf of the Education Sector for a school management information system and this process is ongoing. LMETB require a modification of this contract for a further year to allow completion of the process.
