• The Government of Iraq had received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Emergency Operation for Development project (EODP) - Additional Financing (AF), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supplying two truck cranes with spare parts. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.
• The Ministry of Water Resources now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supplying two truck cranes with spare parts CIP Baghdad/ Warehouse of Maintenance Directorate in Dora. The delivery period is (270-300) days from the date of signing the Contract. A margin of domestic preference shall not apply.
• Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB)as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 2016, Revised November 2017 and August 2018 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

5. The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of USD 200 or as an equivalent in IQD. The method of payment will be cash or cashier"s check. The bidding documents may be received in person by the bidder or his authorized representative at the address below.

International bidders can receive the bidding document through email by sending the nonrefundable fee of USD 200 to the following Bank account:

7. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 11:00 AM Baghdad local time on March 8, 2023. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of bidders’ designated representatives, who choose to attend, at the address below at 11.00 AM Baghdad local time on March 8, 2023.

8. All bids must be accompanied by irrevocable bid security of amount USD 10,000 (ten thousand USD).

The validity of the Bid Security shall be 28 days beyond the original validity period of the Bid.

9. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
