REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Assignment Title: Veterinary and Food Safety Coordinator

1. The Republic of Tajikistan has received financing from the International Development Association and International Bank for Reconstruction and Development toward the cost of the One Health for Pandemic Prevention Food Systems Resilience and Ecosystem Health in Central Asia and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

3. Qualification requirements for candidates are as follow:
- University degree in veterinary science, animal production or any field relevant to the duties and responsibilities;
- Having at least 3 years of working experience with projects funded by International Financial Institutions (eg. the World Bank, ADB, AIIB, etc.) and/or international donors and/or public/private sectors in the field of Food Safety, livestock, veterinary or related fields;
- At least 3 years of experience in veterinary and livestock production fields. Practical experience of technical coordination across agencies and/or sectors will be considered an advantage;
- Proficiency in Tajik and Russian is required. English language skills will be considered an advantage;
- Excellent communication and good computer skills;
- Preferably experience in coordination of project activities.
The State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” Project Management Unit now invites eligible specialists to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested specialists must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services.
4. The attention of interested candidates is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” (July 2016, revised in February 2025) - Procurement in Investment Project Financing Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
5. The selection will follow Open Competitive Selection of Individual Consultants in accordance with Section VI, paragraphs, 7.36 and 7.37 of Procurement Regulations.
6. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter (maximum two pages) and a detailed CV (maximum five pages) clearly outlining how they meet the required qualifications. The CV and cover letter must be submitted either by email to procurement.ohp@gmail.com, with “Veterinary and Food Safety Coordinator” in the subject line, or delivered in person to the address provided below.
7. Additional information can be obtained at the address below during working hours, from 08:00 to 17:00.
8. The deadline for submission of CV and cover letter is October 24, 2025, by 17:00. Only complete applications will be considered.
