         Ziel ist es, dass bestehende behördliche Umweltmessstellennetz zu evaluieren sowie die bestehende DZSF Forschungsinfrastruktur systematische mess- und gerätetechnische zu erweitern. Dabei soll das Untersuchungsspektrum um aktuell rechtlich regulierte sowie zukünftig wissenschaftlich relevante Parameter ergänzt werden. Für eine anwenderfreundliche Bereitstellung und Visualisierung der aktuellen Daten und Information zum DZSF-Umweltmonitoring wird ein Internetauftritt bzw. eine webbasierte Informationsplattform erstellt.

         Beschreibung

         Aufgrund der bisher sehr heterogenen Datenlage und Verfügbarkeit im Bereich Schadstoffaustrag aus dem Schienenverkehr wurden ab 2019 fünf Umweltmonitoringstellen entlang des deutschen Schienennetzes etabliert und in Betrieb genommen. Hierbei liegt der bisherige Untersuchungsschwerpunkt im Bereich Gewässer- und Bodenschutz.

         Zur Stärkung des Schienenverkehrs als umweltfreundlichen und nachhaltiges Verkehrsmittel, sind allerdings auch umfassende Erkenntnisse und Daten zu weiteren Emissionsquellen und Immissionsverhalten notwendig. Um das Niveau sowie den zunehmenden Datenbedarf zu gewährleisten muss das Umweltmonitoringnetz zielführend erweitert und ausgebaut werden. Auch der Bereich des Klimaschutzes bzw. die Anpassung an den Klimawandel sind bedeutende Aufgaben im Eisenbahnsektor, welche die Erweiterung bzw. die Durchführung von Sondermessprogrammen Rechnung trägt. Durch den Aufbau einer Informationsplattform und der damit verbundenen Bereitstellung von Daten, wird der Arbeitsaufwand bei der Beantwortung von UIG oder IFG Anfragen reduziert als auch die Transparenz bei Forschungsprojekten erhöht.
