         TenneT Offshore GmbH is responsible for the electrical grid connection of offshore wind parks within German territorial waters in the German Bight (North Sea) and the EEZ. In these waters the possibility of UXO (unexploded ordnance) remnants in close proximity to offshore construction areas cannot be fully excluded. It is therefore necessary, before offshore cable laying works commence, to investigate the cable route and the platform location to determine any obstacles that could potentially hinder cable installation activities.

         The responsibility of investigating and clearing these routes lies with the Cable Installation Contractor. However, the platform areas (with exception of LanWin beta) need to be both UXO surveyed and investigated and cleared from any potential UXO by the Bidder. The ultimate objective of this scope is the creation of an agreed final Master Target List for the cable routes and a Clearance Certificate for the platform areas.
