         D’un point de vue scientifique, le Zétamètre de surface s"appuie sur la méthode classique du potentiel

         d"écoulement et du courant d"écoulement pour offrir une analyse directe du potentiel zêta de la

         surface. Le potentiel zêta est lié à la charge de la surface sur une interface solide/liquide et est un

         paramètre essentiel pour comprendre les propriétés de surface et développer de nouveaux matériaux

         fonctionnels. Actuellement, il n’y a pas la possibilité de faire ce type de mesure sur le campus de

         l’Université de Bordeaux. L’intégration de cet instrument au sein de la plateforme PCRC-P de l’ISM

         permettra d’ouvrir l’accès aux autres équipes de recherche de l’Université de Bordeaux, notamment

         à celles participant aux Grands Projet de Recherche « PPM » tels que les axes « Energie durable »

         et « downsize optics » du GPR Light ou le work-package « Sustainable Energies » du GPR PPM où

         la caractérisation des interfaces solide-liquide est indispensable pour comprendre le fonctionnement

         des dispositifs de conversion et de stockage de l’énergie ainsi que les propriétés de surface des

         matériaux photoniques
