PURPOSE / SCOPE OF WORK:
The City is seeking proposals from qualified Consultants to undertake a heritage inventory study to implement the policy and proposal statements of the City of Moncton Municipal Plan and the
City of Moncton Heritage Conservation Board 2023-2027 Strategic Plan. The study will explore, analyse and inventory unrecognized and undesignated heritage assets, with a primary focus on the
Downtown Area, Sunny Brae Secondary Planning Area, Victoria Park Area, and places of worship city-wide. The assignment
will also assess and update historic information pertaining to the properties listed as Local Historic Places on the Canadian Register of Historic Places and the New Brunswick Register of
Historic Places that are not currently designated under the City"s Heritage Conservation By-law. The resulting inventory will provide additional information to support the review of existing
policies and the potential establishment of new heritage conservation areas.
