Description

Notice is hereby given by the BC Assessment Authority (BC Assessment) of its intent to contract with Compugen Inc. for the purchase of Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU) to maintain security patching for approximately 800 devices that have not yet been upgraded to Windows 11.


The fee for these services is not expected to exceed $57,000 for a 1 year term.

BC Assessment has chosen not to call for vendor proposals at this time for the following reason:

• Microsoft ESU licensing is proprietary and available only through authorized Microsoft licensing partners.
• Compugen Inc. is BC Assessment’s authorized Microsoft reseller under the existing provincial licensing framework.
• ESU coverage is required to maintain security compliance for devices pending upgrade or replacement.
• Vendors wishing to object to this decision should contact Alanna Lester at BC Assessment by email no later than 2 pm on December 4, 2025 representing specific reasons for their objection. If justified, a vendors’ meeting will be scheduled to review the merits of the objection.
  
  Vendor ability to offer products and services resulting in the same or better solutions at a lower cost will be the key criteria with regard to the consideration of vendor objections.
