Description

The Township is seeking proposals from qualified proponents for a Development Charges Background Study and By-Law update. The consultant will complete a development charges background study that will meet all requirements of the Development Charges Act, 1997, and O. Reg 82/98 as amended. This proposal shall consider the enactment of Bill 23, More Homes Built Faster Act, 2022. The successful candidate once retained will correspond with staff and any consultants working on current strategic plans and policy as the work will mirror these other plans. The target is to have the Development Charges By-law in place for November 12, 2025 As per the Development Charges Act, the development charges background study must be made available to the public as least 60 days prior to the passing of the development charges by-law, and thus should be finalized at least 60 days prior to November 12, 2025.
