Description

The following equipment is invited to be placed on our call-out list for snow removal:

DUMP TRUCKS To qualify, all dump trucks must be equipped with a 12-yard dump box with a 20-inch extended sideboard on the passenger’s side and a 10-inch extended sideboard on the driver’s side. The City pays the 2023/2024 Provincial Blue Book rates and the On Road BC Fuel Adjustment.

SAND/PLOW TRUCKS Sand/Plow trucks will preferably have a minimum 8 cubic yard rear sander and underbody plow. The City pays the 2024/2025 Provincial Blue Book rates and the On Road BC Fuel Adjustment.

LOADERS AND BACKHOES Owners of loaders and /or backhoes are invited to place their names on our call-out list for the plowing of City roads and residential driveway entrances. Machinery must be available on two hours‘ notice. To qualify, all loaders must be equivalent to a 926 Caterpillar with backhoes equivalent to a 310 D John Deere model. The City pays a rate of $120.00 per hour and the On Road BC Fuel Adjustment.

SKID STEERS Owners of skid steers are invited to place their names on our call-out list for the plowing of City roads, sidewalks, and residential driveway entrances. Skid steers must be available on two hours‘ notice. To qualify, all skid steers must be equivalent to a S570 Bobcat skid steer. The City pays a rate of $100.00 per hour and the On Road BC Fuel Adjustment

ROAD GRADER LEASES AVAILABLE FOR BID:
• Lease One – Road Grader (South Quesnel)
• Lease Two – Road Grader (Downtown, North Quesnel, and West Village)
• Road Grader must be equivalent to a Champion 690 or better.
• Lease is from Dec. 1, 2025, to Feb. 28, 2026
• 1 to 2-year lease agreement will be considered
• Guaranteed 40 hours of work per month.
• Must respond within 2 hours of call-out.
