Description

The City of Lethbridge “the City” has over 1900 signs within its urban and river valley parks. These signs have been installed over a significant period with different standards and bylaws in effect. The template of the parks signs has recently been updated with a new design that matches corporate branding. This is the first initiative to replace key signs in Indian Battle Park (IBP). IBP has some existing signs that provide adequate wayfinding and amenity identification. However, the existing signs are quite old and not consistent with corporate branding. There are also gaps in the signs in this park as some parking lots are not properly identified, nor is there adequate wayfinding signs to assist park users. The installation of these new signs will enhance the user experience of the park. The new signs will contain updated park information, assist drivers and pedestrians navigating the park, identify key assets and have a nice appearance.
