Description

Smithfield Lodge is approximately 43 years old with renovations having been completed in 2003. The Kitchen flooring is currently in poor condition with multiple patches having been completed and we are requesting a quote for replacement of the flooring throughout the Kitchen. This is a 104 suite Lodge with residents that have their own suite and meal services are provided to them in the communal Dining Room. The lodge facility functions 24/7 and 7 days/per week. There is staff on site 24 hrs per day. The flooring/painting project will interrupt both our residents and staff. The plan/schedule for this installation will be extremely important to plan out and arrange around all aspects of the facility’s function to minimize disruptions to both the residents and staff. Contractor will be required to supply a mobile kitchen to be parked on the property for meal service to be able to continue. For the mobile kitchen, it must contain the following: walk-in cooler, walk-in freezer, range, oven (convection oven if possible), grill, steamer, dishwasher and a minimum of three prep tables with sinks. Propane and/or a super silent generator is the preferred method for powering the kitchen. Water and fuel for running the kitchen equipment is to be provided by the contractor. An example of a mobile kitchen floor plan is shown below with a full size drawing attached to this Bid Contract Package. The contractor will also be responsible for moving items out of the kitchen and into the mobile kitchen and then back in to the kitchen once the exhaust system work has been completed. The stainless steel tables located in the back of the kitchen will be rearranged and new location will be discussed with the successful contractor. The convection oven and range may need to remain in the room. They may need to be set onto castors to be moved around but limited moving is likely expected. The following are pictures of the kitchen to show items that will be required to be moved and stored in an assigned location.
