Description

The University campus, with a few exceptions, acts as its own utility where all infrastructure is owned by the University, and operated by internal forces. Our underground infrastructure consists of power, domestic water, sanitary and storm sewer, Communications & Information Technology, and a distributed cooling/heating water system. This infrastructure ranges in age from original University Hall construction in 1970 up to present. The U of L is looking for a consultant who can: 1. Provide a comprehensive review and assessment of all major underground infrastructure and associated above ground components. This will include updated accurate as-built drawings. 2. Develop a comprehensive risk assessment and budgetary cost for maintenance and replacement of critical infrastructure components. 3. Create a targeted multi-year plan for replacement of infrastructure components based upon condition and highest risk of failure, as well as impact of failure.
