Description

Skwlāx te Secwepemcúĺecw is inviting experienced and qualified consulting firms to submit a proposal to conduct a detailed highest and best use analysis for the development of the commercial lot known as the Skwlāx Centre. Skwlāx te Secwepemcúĺecw has long been established as a progressive and business forward Nation, exemplified by the establishment of Quaaout Lodge in 1993 which still continues to successfully operate today. Over the past 5 years with things such as; the Covid-19 Pandemic, Global Warming, other economic and market changes, and the 2023 Bush Creek Wildfire that devastated the Skwlāx te Secwepemcúĺecw community, the Nation has the opportunity and desire to take a ‘step back’ and revaluate the variety of Economic Development opportunities it should be considering. The Nation is looking to take an analytical approach, utilizing data with focus more so from the last 5-8 years, to produce a future facing outlook, options and recommendations to better inform or adjust the Nation’s Economic Development Plans. There is an anticipated budget of $20,000 - 40,000 for the completion of this analysis and the subsequent deliverables.
