The purpose of the Millet Flood Study is to assess and identify flood hazards along Pipestone Creek, Eyot Creek, and Snake Drain through the Town of Millet and the County of Wetaskiwin. The
study will be completed under the provincial Flood Hazard Identification Program (FHIP), the goals of which include enhancement of public safety and reduction of future flood damages through
the identification of flood hazards.
Hydraulic modelling and flood mapping is required for approximately 15 km of Pipestone Creek, 4 km of Eyot Creek, and 2 km of Snake Drain. The study reach for Pipestone Creek extends from Range
Road 250 downstream to the eastern boundary of NW 15-47-24-W4M, the study reach for Eyot Creek extends from the north edge of NE 6-48-24-W4M downstream to the confluence with Pipestone Creek,
and the study reach for Snake Drain extends from the western edge of SE 31-47-24-W4M downstream to the confluence with Eyot Creek.
