PURPOSE:

The three (3) communities of Moncton, Dieppe, and Riverview, referred to as the "Codiac" Region, have been allocated funding to prevent youth gang involvement and gun violence through the Building Safer Communities Fund established through Public Safety Canada.

However, the flexibility of this funding allows for addressing a broad spectrum of risk factors to enhance youth and family well-being, tailored to the Codiac Region"s most pressing needs. In consultation with community partners, the Codiac Region has identified key areas that impact youth and family well-being.

An essential element of the Codiac Region"s strategy under this fund is to enhance the capacity of community partners working directly with youth and families. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select and engage one (1) or more firms who can deliver training programs and subject-matter expertise in trauma-informed practice, anti-racism, de-escalation, and violence risk assessment. The aim is to support priority knowledge and skills development among those providing critical
social support in our community.

ELIGIBILITY OF PROPONENTS:

Proposals shall be considered from established firms / training providers who have been in the business of providing professional training services and subject-matter expertise concerning topics such as anti-racism, de-escalation, adverse childhood experiences, and other training topics designed for those providing community-based youth and family well-being support services.

Proposals shall be accepted from firms / training providers who have been in business for a minimum of five (5) years, are financially stable, can provide a minimum of three (3) clients for whom they have provided similar services to that specified in the RFP within the last five (5) year period, and have sufficient labour, equipment and resources to provide reliable, timely, and professional services to the Codiac Region in the manner and capacity required.

PROJECT BUDGET:

The Codiac Region has allocated a maximum budget of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for this training initiative. Through the award of this RFP, one (1) or more training partners may be selected based on the training services offered within each Proposal. The selection will be guided by how well each Proposal meets the objectives of this training initiative, and enhances the community"s capacity to address the identified risk factors.

The training programs offered by each Proponent will be evaluated on factors such as size, scope, depth, complexity, and the level of support provided to trainees. This approach ensures that the selected training programs offer comprehensive and effective solutions that align with our community"s needs and budgetary constraints.

PROJECT TIMEFRAME:

All training services to be delivered under the scope of this RFP must be completed by the successful Proponent(s) ON OR BEFORE MARCH 31, 2024 in order to meet the requirements of the "Building Safer Communities" funding program established through Public Safety Canada.

This is a tender notice only. In order to submit a bid, you must obtain official tender documents from the New Brunswick Opportunities Network, another authorized tendering service or as indicated in the tender notice.

See more Disclaimer All amendments to the associated notice, including amended documents, plans and specifications (where applicable), are issued by the originator of the notice. MERX asks you to contact the buying agency directly for these amendments. MERX stipulates that potential bidders may also be required to register with the buying authority as a bidder/plan taker.
