Description

The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to invite the interested parties to submit proposals for the design, fabrication and delivery of 12 new surface air coolers, and the refurbishment of the total of 36 existing surface air coolers of unit 1, 2 and 3 at Seven Mile Generating Station, near Trail, B.C.
The work within this project generally includes the following:
(a) Design, fabrication and delivery of 12 new surface air coolers including all required accessories, drawings, testing reports, and other documentation; (b) Engineering service to specify the nozzle loads and supports for the new surface air coolers; (c) Tests, inspections and transportation from/to Seven Mile Generating Station of the existing surface air coolers and submittal of detailed condition assessment and refurbishment scope and cost; and (d) Refurbishment of existing surface air coolers including all required testing reports, and other documentation.
BC Hydro plans to hold an optional SITE VISIT on January 18, 2024. Proponents should pre-register to attend the Site visit. Refer to the Site Visit Protocol document for further details.

Delivery or completion date is September 18, 2024.

This procurement may involve negotiation.

This opportunity is subject to Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.
