         Het wegdek van de Rozenstraat bevindt zich niet overal in even goede staat. Bovendien ligt er in het deel t.h.v. de N70 nog steeds geen riolering.

         De woningen wateren daar af naar (al dan niet ingebuisde) grachten waardoor de afwatering zeker niet optimaal is met verontreiniging in de grachten en waterlopen tot gevolg.

         In de rest van de Rozenstraat ligt een gemengde riolering die moet vernieuwd worden.

         Het is ook in functie van de Europese Kaderrichtlijn Water noodzakelijk dat de stad investeert in de aanleg van rioleringen met als doel de verontreiniging van oppervlakte- en

         grondwater tegen te gaan.

         De stad plant dan ook de aanleg van een optimaal gescheiden rioleringsstelsel en de bijhorende wegeniswerken in de Rozenstraat.
