        The implementation plan of the mission requires support studies to help achieve the mission objectives.

        Two studies are planned:

        Lot 1 – Harmonisation of marine biodiversity monitoring.

        The subject of the present call on the harmonisation of marine biodiversity monitoring is to identify the technical obstacles to harmonised marine biodiversity monitoring in the European Union marine waters and provide recommendations for a better coordination of marine biodiversity monitoring across different EU policies.

        Lot 2 – Wetlands and blue carbon.

        The subject of this call on ‘Wetlands and Blue Carbon’ is to identify how EU Member States currently report ‘Wetlands and Blue Carbon’ of in their greenhouse gas emissions and what steps the EU Member States are taking to improve the accuracy of this reporting.
