Albania / area of coverage: Europe (plus temporary extension)

International health insurance services for expatriated employees in Albania in the context of the project IMO, Phase III

Coverage for about 21 expats;

Intended minimum requirements:

• Covering at least EUR 2,000,000 per insured person per insurance period;

• No health check requirement for expatriated employees;

• Inclusion of pre-existing conditions and chronic diseases without waiting period for expatriated employees;

• Cost coverage from the day of the change of insurer (incl. ongoing treatments);

• Option for the inclusion of dependants of expatriated employees must be given (different tariffs possible);

• Area of coverage: Europe;

• At least 30 days per year coverage outside the area of coverage (e.g., vacation or visit to home country);

• Inpatient treatment covering 100% of costs (no deductible);

• Hospital accommodation: at least double room;

• Outpatient treatment covering 100% of costs;

• Emergency dental treatment covering 100% of costs;

• Emergency eye treatment covering 100% of costs;

• Evacuation and repatriation covering 100% of costs if medically necessary.

Award criteria encompass price and quality, to include scope of cover, option to include dependents without prior health check, and additional services.

Insurance coverage for about 21 expats;

Intended minimum requirements:

• 24 hours a day, 7 days a week coverage during work and leisure time;

• Area of coverage: worldwide;

• Permanent disability EUR 300,000 without progression;

• Accidental death: EUR 250,000;

• Search and rescue costs incl. helicopter: EUR 15,000 per insured event;

• Cosmetic surgery due to accident: EUR 15,000 per insured event;

• Dismemberment schedule will be provided by Contracting Authority;

• No health check requirement for expatriated employees.

Award criteria encompass price and quality, to include option for the inclusion of dependants, additional benefit as of 50% permanent disability, determination of permanent disability in EU Member State of permanent residency of insured person

Further intended minimum requirements:

Tenders must include the following services for both group accident and international health insurance:

• English-language online customer service;

• English-language online personal account with online claim solution;

• English-language 24/7 helpline.

Availability of a qualified contact person for insured persons.

Gross premiums charged for the past three completed fiscal years of at least EUR 10 million per lot.
