The contractor shall provide a crane and operator described herein this Performance Work Statement (PWS). In addition, the contractor shall also provide logistical support for that crane during the entire duration of this project. Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) has been task with the de-installation and removal of an AN/FSC-78 Satellite Antenna located on Fort Meade Army Base, MD.
The contractor will provide the recommended crane which is the Demag AC250, the Liebherr LTM1250-6.1 or equivalent capacity with 2 hoist gears. The largest pick is the 60ft diameter parabolic reflector weighing 53,000 lbs., 85 feet in the air and a radius of approximately 58ft. The heaviest pick is 56,000 lbs. ring girder 60ft in the air. Two hoist gears and 18 foot jib will be needed to flip the Ring Girder. This crane will be needed for 10 working days. Follow-on work will require a 110T crane with a minimum of 100ft boom to further disassemble large components, concrete base sections and to load concrete panels onto flatbed trucks. This crane will be needed for 15 working days. The 300T crane will be required at the project site when needed by the TYAD Lead approximately on day 7 (09 Sep 2024) through approximately day 16 (20 Sept 2024). The biggest object that this crane will have to lift is of weight 53,000 pounds, reference Technical Exhibit 1, Antenna Parabolic. The 75T crane will be required at the project site when needed by the TYAD Lead on approximately 30 Sept 2024 through approximately 18 Oct 2024. A 60T crane or equivalent will be needed to Offload/Load 20 foot shipping containers. The crane will be needed for offload on or about 3 Sept 2024 and again on or about the week ending 25 Oct 2024. A minimum 48 hour notice will be given to the crane contractor once delivery and pick up dates are provided from transportation
