The Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD 20670 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to JH Norton Company, Inc. 1006 Executive Blvd. Chesapeake, VA 23320 (Cage Code: 3L815) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The COMFRC Aviation Support Equipment, Solomons, MD has a requirement to maintain repair and overhaul Avionics Ground Support Equipment for various agencies. The contractor will provide the following: Remove Pneumatic Recovery System, plate the Blast Room Floor with Stitch Weld, cap Vac Pipes, rebuild the Blast Pot Control System, and tie in New Flow to existing vac system.
The Pneumatic Recovery System repaired under this contract shall meet the operational and functional requirements. All repair work shall be performed in accordance with the contractor’s repair/overhaul standard practices, manuals and directives including but not limited to drawings, technical orders, manufacturing operations, tooling instructions, approved repair standards and any other contractor or government approved documents developed to provide technical repair procedures.
JH Norton Company, Inc. is the only known qualified source capable of satisfying the Governments specific requirements and mission for this procurement. For this reason, the government intends to procure these products on a sole source basis from JH Norton Company, Inc. (CAGE Code: 3L815).
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
