This is a Sources Sought Notice for information only: This is not a request for quotes/proposals or an invitation for bids.

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 10.002(b), this Sources Sought Notice is for market research and information purposes only at this time and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation. This notice is to determine the availability of small businesses (including the following subsets, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, HUB Zone Firms; Certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and Woman Owned Small Business) to provide the required services.

The primary mission of Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) is to deliver regional maintenance, at the depot and intermediate levels, to keep the surface ships and submarines of our nation’s Navy “Fit to Fight.” As Hawaii’s regional maintenance center, capabilities include excellence in overhauling, repairing, converting, alteration, refurbishing, and decommissioning of Navy vessels.

PHNSY & IMF is seeking sources to perform one (1) each copper nickel array calibration standard and one (1) each titanium EDM notch standard. The Contractor shall ensure that all work performed is done by qualified and trained personnel. The Contractor shall manufacture certified array calibration standards and EDM notch standards in accordance with NAVSEA Technical Publication T9074-AT-GIB-010/2032, Rev. 2.

The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 334515 - Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals and the Product Service Code is J049 - Industrial Products Install/Maintenance /Repair.

This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.

To be evaluated for technical merit and capability, statements must be received by the stated deadline. In determining whether or not to compete this requirement, the Government has sole discretion.
