The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Harmon, Inc. (Harmon) for the necessary labor, materials, and equipment to repair and provide an extended five-year warranty for the curtain wall system on Building 23 at the Roybal campus in Atlanta, Georgia. The proposed contractor (Harmon) installed the original wall system as part of the certified facade solution and is believed to be the sole-source provider for these services. The curtain wall solution requires the contractor to manufacture die-stamped-punched parts and molded plastic clips. Harmon possesses the dies to manufacture the missing covers, expertise to properly replace the existing clips/caps, and can issue an extended warranty for the entire wall system once the repairs are complete. This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
