Presolicitation Notice 518-22-313: HVAC Steam Generator Bldg #2 Procurement Number: 36C24124B0006 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. An invitation for bids will be posted on or about November 6, 2023 with an expected proposal due date of December 14, 2023. The Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, also known as Bedford VAMC, located in Bedford, MA, has a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price construction contract that requires a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform HVAC Steam Generator Building 2 project in accordance with the Contract Documents and the attached SOW. The general scope of the requirement is to replace the existing air handling unit humidification system from plant steam to a steam generator. The existing plant steam humidification systems needs to be replaced to a steam generator system for the HVAC unit that feeds both heat and cooling to the Building #2 Optometry and Dental Clinics. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 and the size standard is $45 Million. The solicitation is being issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) under FAR Part 14. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
