The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Columbia River Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office, Vancouver, WA intends to award a sole source firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery- Indefinite Quantity contract under authority of FAR 6.302-1, Other than Full and Open Competition procedures to Northwest Marine Technology Inc, Olympia, WA. This requirement is for the acquisition of Coded Wire Tags, equipment parts, automated fish marking trailer, manual trailer, supplies and maintenance. Northwest Marine Technology has developed and patented the integral components of the Coded Wire Tagging Trailer System. These components include patented fish tagging units that use a patented, binary coded fish tag along with fish crowding, alignment, identification, counting, measuring, and sorting equipment. These components are proprietary and are protected by several U.S patents. Northwest Marine Technology is the only known source for the Coded Wire Tags, Trailer Systems and supporting equipment and components. The integration of all patented, unique and non-unique items of the system was configured by engineers and aquaculture experts intimately familiar with the integration of all necessary components. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334419.
