BACKGROUND:The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), operates a laboratory in a privately-owned building located at 801 Summit Crossing Place, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054. As part of Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), the laboratory operates under the Laboratory Approval and Testing Division (LATD), National Science Laboratories (NSL).

The mission of the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Science and Technology Program (S&T) is to “Empower the agricultural and food communities through exceptional scientific services.”

OVERVIEW: The NSL is responsible for analyzing agricultural and food commodities for governmental agencies, private industry, and academia.

SCOPE OF WORK: USDA, AMS, S&T, LATD, NSL Gastonia laboratory requires the purchase of a maintenance service plan contract to cover Thermo Fisher LC/Orbitrap systems. These instruments are highly sophisticated and critical to the operation and growth of the laboratory.

CONTRACTOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: The vendor shall provide service plan coverage for the following equipment:

The service plan coverage shall apply for the period 10/01/2023 through 09/30/2024 (period of performance).
