Sources Sought Notice DESCRIPTION The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) is seeking information and sources capable of providing the services described below. The purpose of this notice is to gather capabilities and market information pertinent for acquisition planning. The responses to this Sources Sought Notice will contribute to determining the method of procurement and identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME This Sources Sought does not constitute a request for quotes. Submission of any information in response to this Sources Sought Notice is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Austin Information Technology Center (AITC) provides information technology and data-hosting services within the Department and to other government agencies. VA-AITC provides its services to customers on a 24/7 basis and therefore requires continuous Data Center Computer Room Cooling. To ensure uninterrupted cooling, the VA-AITC uses Chiller Plants for cooling Data Center Rooms. Plants consist of two 1,000 ton chiller plants with associated pumps and etc.. The VA-AITC is required to maintain Chiller Water System Chemical Treatment for reliable service. The contractor shall provide all services, equipment required to properly maintain and support the Chilled Water Systems Chemical Treatment requirements throughout the contract period. While services shall typically be conducted during normal business hours, services shall be available 24x7 for emergency support during failures.
