The 119th Wing / North Dakota Air National Guard located in Fargo, North Dakota is conducting preliminary Market Research to determine an available pool of Small Business vendors who are able to provide the AN/PRC-167 radio system(manufactured by L3Harris Technologies, Inc.), or equivalent radio system for a potential requirement in the near future. The potential need for a radio system of this caliber is based on the capability to provide Type 1 encryption certified by the National Security Agency (NSA) to carry up to U.S. Top Secret voice/data transmissions via Line-of-Sight, and TSM-X Waveform to personnel and aircraft. This potential need is also driven by a need to be able to communicate via different wavelengths dependent on mission parameters with the least amount of equipment as possible so that deployment packages and personnel can be kept to a minimal footprint.

Requirements for the contemplated radio system include:

• The capability to load crypto communication keys.

• The capability of mesh networking with other radios.

• The capability to utilize multiple waveforms with the minimal amount of equipment.

• The ability to change power amplification to overcome potential atmospheric or terrain obstacles.

• The ability to quickly transition different antenna based on the necessities of waveforms.

• Operability range of 30mhz – 2600 mhz.

• The capability of upgrading to future software versions, if necessary and as required.

A solicitation MAY be issued at that time. This Sources Sought Notice is being posted for Market Research purposed only to identify Small Business vendors who are able to provide the AN-PRC-167 radio system listed above, or an equivalent radio system that meets the characteristics listed above.
