R6/R10 – Resistance Drills for Pathology Work

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

The combined synopsis/solicitation number is 1240BF23Q0061 and is issue as a Request for Quote (RFQ) to establish a Firm Fixed Price supply contract to purchase Resistance Drills for the Forest Service Regions 6 and 10.

The combined synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2023-04, effective 2 June 2023.

This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. In accordance with FAR Clause 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside (which applies to this combined synopsis/solicitation), offers are solicited only from small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected.

The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333991, Power-Driven Handtool Manufacturing. The NAICS Code was identified through a review of the U.S. Census Bureau’s website where Tools, Handheld Power-Driven, Manufacturing was listed as a corresponding index category. The small business size standard is 950 employees.

Item Description and Specifications: The contractor shall provide 3 battery operated resistance drills for measuring decay in trees. Each resistance drill shall be easily transportable and manageable (lightweight) under field conditions. See Attachment 1 for description and specifications.

Delivery Information: The contractor shall deliver the items separately to the addresses below no later than 30 September 2023.
