The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to utilize other than full-and-open competition to award a contract modification under existing order N0002421F5308 to BAE Systems Land and Armaments L.P. (BAE) (Minneapolis, MN) for procurement of Standard Pier-side Maintenance and Repair (SPMR) kits for the 57mm Mk 110 Mod 0 Gun Mount (Mk 110 GM).

Award of the SPMR kits will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not possess the Level III Technical Data Package. BAE is the only known source possessing the requisite knowledge and ability to satisfy the Government’s requirements within the required schedule.

This notice is not a request for proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to fulfill the requirement. All expressions of interest received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. The Government will not reimburse any costs incurred to submit a response to this synopsis; any costs associated with responding to this synopsis are solely at the expense of the source submitting the information. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
