The 2nd Contracting Squadron, Barksdale Air Force Base (BAFB), Louisiana intends to issue a solicitation for commercial services for Grounds Maintenance. The requirement will be restricted to competitive 8(a) firms with the assigned North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 561730 and small business size standard is $9.5 million. The contract will be a Requirements contract type.

The Contractor shall provide non-personal services, to include all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to ensure grounds maintenance is performed at BAFB in a manner to promote the growth of healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants and present a clean, neat, and professional appearance.

The contractor will be required to maintain a management office at BAFB in order to provide other management services related to accomplishing individual jobs. Task orders will be issued IAW FAR 52.216-18. The performance period is 1 Nov 2023 – 30 Sept 2028 (Base plus four Option Years).

The RFP number will be FA460823R0010 and will be issued via SAM.gov along with any amendments to the solicitation. The anticipated date the RFP will be available is May 2023. A site visit and pre-proposal conference will be scheduled once the solicitation is issued.

Paper copies of the solicitation will not be available, interested parties will have to download the solicitation package from SAM.gov. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. In order to be awarded a contract with the federal government, vendors must be registered with System for Award Management, www.sam.gov.
