DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

The contractor shall remove 15 kV SF6 gas insulated pad-mounted 5-way and 4-way switches, 15 kV lightning arresters and elbows connectors and provide new Vacuum Fault Interrupter (VFI) FR3 biodegradable fluids, 15 kV, 6-way, and 5-way pad-mounted switches. This includes replacing existing 15 kV lightning arresters, fault indicator devices and 15 kV elbow connectors. The work also includes the securing of the new pad-mounted switches.

RESTRICTION TO SMALL BUSINESS:

This acquisition is being competed as a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Business set-aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 237130, with a small business size standard of $45 million. The eventual contract for this acquisition is contemplated to be Firm-Fixed Price (FFP).

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION:

Any Requests for Information (RFIs) regarding this solicitation are due on or before 3 May 2023 at 1200 hours ChST, and shall be submitted electronically to the notice POC’s. The Government does not intend to respond to inquiries submitted after this deadline.

All questions will be answered via Q&A format and amended into the solicitation. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor SAM.gov for any amendments or changes. Subject line for all correspondence shall contain FA524023R0017, Replace Various SF6 Gas Insulated Switchgears.
