This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The United States Army Health Contracting Activity, Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West, at JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is requesting information and conducting market research to identify and determine if there are potential sources which have the capabilities to provide the requirements specified herein.

As part of its market research, MRCO-W is issuing this Sources Sought to determine if there exists an adequate number of qualified interested contractors capable of providing rental of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT or “wound vac”) equipment that meets or exceeds all salient characteristics identified below:

1. Touch Screen Menu
2. Simple therapeutic programming
3. Audible and visual alarms
4. Leak detection to identify leaks immediately
5. Continuous feedback for pressure accuracy, monitoring of pressure at wound site, and adjustment accordingly
6. Alarm, patient, and therapy history.
7. Continuous negative pressure ranging -25mmHg to -200mmHg
8. Maintenance of minimum negative pressure levels between cycles, to help prevent leaks and fluid accumulation when negative pressure is not present at wound site.
9. Approximately 7.5 lbs, with 500cc empty canister and no solution.
10. Performance, therapy settings, and other salient characteristics that meet or exceed the 3M/KCI Ultdev01/US.P VAC Ulta with VeraFlo.

The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes. This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of MRCO-W market research.

No solicitation for this requirement exists at the time of posting for this Sources Sought Notice; please do not request a copy of a solicitation. Responses to this Sources Sought are not quotes on which MRCO-W can issue any contract. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not itself constitute a RFP or RFQ. The Government does not intend to award a contract vehicle based only on responses to this Sources Sought.

All information marked “proprietary” that is received in response to this Sources Sought will be protected and handled accordingly. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. Responses to the Sources Sought will not be returned. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought. The Government will not pay for information received in response to this Sources Sought.

Respondents shall not submit pricing information in Sources Sought. Interested sources shall provide a response detailing their capability to provide the requirement specified herein.

With your response to this sources sought, please provide the following information:

1. Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, business size and type of ownership for the organization; and

2. Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this requirement, with appropriate documentation supporting all claims of suitability of the rental equipment it may provide.

The Government does not possess or own data rights necessary to distribute for this effort.
